I finished my second Arbor sweater in early October. I just hadn’t had a chance to be photographed in it before now. Since the sweater is completely not seasonally appropriate, I stayed indoors and had Alice take the pictures for me just to cross it off my list.

This was the only marginally decent one, which is not to say that she’s a bad photographer–she’s quite good for her age. It’s just that James was insisting on being held, the lighting was tough, and she kept taking pictures when I wasn’t ready, so I have a lot of candid ones with really dumb looks on my face. Times have certainly changed from the first Arbor photo shoot, where Jason and I drove to the Portland Arboretum just to take pictures.

Anyway, I started this Arbor last January (2011), but it fell by the wayside when I got pregnant with James. I wanted to try a cotton version, so this is knit with Knit Picks Comfy Sport. I skipped doing the cables in the ribbed waist because I knew I’d never finish it if I did them. The fiber content is better for a summer sweater, but I still like the original one better. I’m just glad to be done with this!

And now for some better pictures. I couldn’t resist taking more pictures of James in his crocodile pants with some natural light this time.

He is a very busy boy lately, learning how to crawl, pull himself up, and cruise around in the days leading up to his 9 month birthday.

I love the curious look captured on his face in this one.

He’s replaced the cat in messing with the window blinds. They are fascinating.

My green-eyed boy. What a sweetie he is.
